My husband and I frequent The Keg and always really enjoy the food and service. Tonight we went to celebrate getting married and had the MOST incredible experience with Abigail W. She was not supposed to be our waitress but saw we were waiting for a few extra minutes (not that we really minded). She stepped in immediately, took our order, and took us on even though we were not in her already busy section. Unaware by us, she spoke to the manager and got them to comp our cheese toast and offered a free dessert to make up for the wait. The food was great and service was very quick. They’re lucky to have her!
The Keg prime rib dinner never disappoints! It was a lovely dinner with family celebrating our return to the city. No complaints. Everyone enjoyed their meals and our server was very attentive.
Absolutely wonderful experience and divine food. I hadn't been to The Keg in many years and I didn't remember it being this good. To be fair, I think when I was younger I always ordered the cheapest thing on the menu . This time we ordered the 18oz Prime Rib, medium rare and it was GORGEOUS. Wow. Also ordered the Blackened Chicken and we split both. The chicken was very good, but the prime rib was the star for sure. The slab was giant, of course. Cooked to perfection. The chicken had the most delicious sweet sauce. We ordered a side of peppercorn sauce for the beef, however the au jus it was served with was fantastic and so tasty. Loved the generous portion of crispy onions that came with the beef. We could eat those all day long and they added bursts of flavour to every bite. Garlic mash and the twice baked potatoes were great and full of flavour. Even the sauteed mushrooms were delightful. We were celebrating hubby's birthday so were given a slab of Billy Miner pie for free. It was far larger than we ever imagined. 12 on the menu but what a generous size. Definitely worth that price and easily feeds two or three (assuming you are full from your meal). Our waitress was so lovely and friendly. All the staff were excellent. We'd return for sure. The food was truly marvelous and mouth watering. One of the better restaurants we've eaten at in Winnipeg.
Such great service here. I have a severe seafood allergy, and their staff take it very seriously (a lot of places in my experience do not). Someone will come to the table confirming it's me and reassuring it's cooked separately - even gets brought out by a different server from the rest of my tables The staff are super friendly, the cooks are great. I always get medium rare steak, and it's done perfectly every time.
Fantastic food and professional service from Alyssa. This place will be my first choice for dates and family reunions. Wonderful experience!
Tonight we ordered takeout. We started off with appetizers: calamari and stuffed mushrooms. For the entrees my hubby chose the prime rib and I had the sirloin both medium rare. The meals were hit and fresh. My steak and the prime rib were done just right. I loved the calamari. The dips were so tasty especially the sweet chili one. I loved the salty, sweet, heat combination. We will definitely order take out again. Well done, Keg chefs! Thank you for a great meal.

Food was great and the servers were super attentive. I'm probably in the minority, but the lights are kept too low for my liking. My group and I were there around 7:00pm-9:00pm on a June weekend (so still with plenty of daylight outside), and I swear inside you'd think the whole dining area was being lit by only half a dozen tea candles.
